Job Description


Our Client is looking to add a Manufacturing Associate to their growing team!

Responsibilities:

Under close supervision, responsible for complex operations in production, applies technical knowledge and follows detailed work instruction procedures, material specifications to perform a variety of manufacturing production tasks on multiple workstations. Tracks material and equipment performance, performs preventive and routine maintenance such as lubrication, mechanical running adjustments and minor repair of equipment. Reports any inconsistencies and requests support from other specialists when serious problems occur. Receive technical guidance as required from the supervisor or process technician. Cover lead role when needed.
  • Understand, observe and enforce all safety practices.
  • Troubleshoot and repair routine equipment failures and prepare proper work orders for tasks requiring technician / maintenance support.
  • Read, follow and assist in training and direction of operators on work instructions and technical procedures.
  • Ensure jobs are run with correct materials according to job routers.
  • Maintain frequent coordination with Production Supervisor to freely exchange ideas and to review shift activities.
  • Ensure continuity of production from shift to shift by communicating person daily with shift assistants including discussion of processing, maintenance or quality problems occurring during the preceding shift.
  • Supervisor will review work for general compliance with accepted practices
  • Setup and verify adjustments to process equipment, holding tolerances to work instruction specifications per documented procedures as required.
  • Operate / relieve operators on multiple workstations / presses in accordance with detailed work instructions
  • Operate molding equipment, assembly, metal prep, paint of a variety of products based on work cell from mechanical assembled or molded products using automatic and manual methods
  • May prepare and clean metals - .operations include; degreasing, derusting, phosphatizing, wheelabrating, hand and spray painting
  • Check equipment using prescribed preventative maintenance procedures
  • Work to eliminate non-value added activities. Supporting 5S practices and ensure cleanliness of work stations.
  • Work as part of a team cross-training as needed
  • Extend the majority of effort and time on the designated equipment, but complete other duties as assigned
  • Finished product inspection and AQL level inspection of products being molded or assembled (visual and dimensional)
  • Tracking of parts made on job with labor cards and time sheets
  • Ensure all quality and productivity standards are met on assigned workstations (proper molding, cleaning, marking and packaging of parts.
  • Schedules job assignments. Recognize and correct routine process problems (adjust, tune and calibrate instrumentation for optimal performance). Publish routers and procedures on assigned workstations.
  • Maintain and review production records.

Qualifications:
  • Ability to interpret drawings and use precision measuring instruments.
  • Able to use a computer to enter and retrieve data.
  • Able to understand functional and business requirements of area and use ERP system (Oracle) to ensure on time shipment of product
  • Able to work extended shift hours and perform moderately strenuous physical tasks.
  • Ability to comprehend and train to documents such as work instructions, safety rules, maintenance instructions and procedure manuals written in English language.
  • Ability to perform repetitive work, change tasks frequently, maintain attention to detail and speed without loss to production.
  • Ability to detect and correct process problems on assigned workstations.
  • Able to communicate with personnel at all levels of the production team.
  • Possess the ability to follow directions from technicians in a professional manner.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills and advanced math skills are required.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to participate in various activities and tasks based upon needs of the department.
  • Possess basic computer skills to accurately record production data.
  • Work with minimal supervision, while maintaining proper safety, quality and inspection standards.
  • Exhibit a high degree of responsibility with emphasis on safety.
