The Business Development will be responsible creating opportunity and sales utilizing wipes / pads / towelettes as a drug delivery system. This position will be responsible for identification, targeting, and securing new business through professional contacts, industry channels, and proactive sales activities directed at decision-makers and decision influencers.


a. Identify and develop relationships that lead to sales opportunities with targeted customers in the field of topical drug applications.

b. Identify, attend and showcase at industry events to promote PDI s capabilities

c. Review and refine sales strategy

d. Researching market and industry trends

e. Identify appropriate marketing material needs / create sales pitches

f. Prospect for potential clients and convert them into increased business opportunities

g. Engage internal and external contacts

h. Recognize opportunities that will result in sales

i. Research and cultivate an accurate perception of the organization s mission and goals

j. Forecast sales objectives

k. Develop pricing with the help of PDI finance and VP/GM Contract Manufacturing

l. Managing company and client expectations

m. Reviewing timeframes and budgets

n. Arranging business meetings and one-on-one conversations with prospective clients

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: A Bachelor s in Life Science discipline

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Power point.

REQUIRED: 7+ years previous in a B2B sales role - ideally in a CRO, CMO, Life Sciences Company or Consulting background specializing in Life Sciences


Highly developed business acumen and the ability to understand the wider issues of topical drugs

The ability to identify new revenue opportunities

in developing and executing a strategic plan

Strong presentation, communication, negotiation and closing skills

Solid understanding of commercialization and the principles of drug discovery and development

Excellent business/industry awareness and a thorough understanding of industry trends and impact on the business. The focus being on topical drugs.

Proven sales track record of achieving/surpassing sales goals

Ability to work independently and as team player; including complex, dynamic teams

Excellent analytical skills in assessing and interpreting customer business data

Demonstrated ability to build relationships and to communicate at senior management level

Demonstrated ability to influence others internally and externally

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers, clients and customers

Ability to maintain demanding timelines

Demonstrated ability to work creatively in a fast-paced environment

Attention to detail and ability to work simultaneously on multiple priorities

Willingness to travel as client needs dictate (10- 30%)
