TITLE: Title III Elementary English Language Development TutorTYPE OF POSITION: Part-time (approximately 25 hours/week); Temporary (anticipated through the end of the current school year); salary range $25-$30/hour, subject to the limits of the grant funding the position LOCATION: Marathon, Elmwood, and Hopkins Schools; Hopkinton, MassachusettsAREA OF CONSIDERATION: All qualified candidates The Title III Elementary English Language Development (ELD) Tutor works under the direction of the district ELE coordinator and the building principal to provide tutoring in English acquisition skills for students at the elementary school level. The tutor supports each student's language development, with a focus on vocabulary use, reading, writing, and speaking. The ELD Tutor motivates students to apply their growing language skills in each school subject area and in their social interactions. The Title III Elementary ELD Tutor reports to the principal(s) and the district ELE Coordinator. DUTIESDuties include, but are not limited to:Provides tutoring throughout the school day per the schedule designed by the principal and EL coordinatorContinuously monitors students' understanding of the tutoring content and adjusts instruction, guided by the ELE coordinator;Utilizes appropriate technology to aid students in the acquisition of knowledge and skills, and develop of understanding;Creates reports of progress for each student;Other duties, as assigned.
