Job Description

We are seeking service technicians to join our team in our Hopkington, MA location. This position is responsible for repairing and maintaining electric, diesel, and gasoline industrial, construction and forestry equipment.

Mechanical design and fabrication is strongly recommended.

Responsibilities Include:
-Service, repair, assemble, and recondition equipment as assigned by the Service Manager
-Diagnose problems and determine what repairs are needed
-Perform any inspections as required
-Keep accurate, easy-to-read records of work performed
-Maintain safe work habits
-Maintain and care for all shop tools, machines and equipment
-Suggest any additional repairs needed to service manager and/or customer
-Help maintain cleanliness, neatness and safety of Service Truck and possessions offsite and in and around our NY Yard area.
-Stay current with technical changes, continuing your education by factory service schools, etc.
-Perform other job-related duties as assigned
-Acetylene and electric arc welding.
-Operation of vehicles and equipment for diagnostic purposes.

Requirements:
-High school diploma or equivalent
-2 years of technical training/certification or equivalent industry experience preferred
-Obtain and/or maintain a Class 'A' Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
-Strong computer skills preferred
-Must be able to multi-task and be detail oriented with demonstrated follow through and organizational skills
-Effectively handle lifting of various objects weighing up to 50 pounds
-Work extended hours outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
-Communicate effectively verbally and in writing
-Ability to read blueprints, hydraulic and electrical ISO schematics
-Must be able to repair hydrostatic and electrical systems
-Must have own tools for most general repairs
-Working knowledge of hazards and safety precautions common to equipment
-Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other agencies and the public.
-Follow written and verbal instructions, including manufacturers service specifications.
