Responsibilities

Dell EMC is hiring a Process Improvement Lead based in Seattle or Hopkinton to drive Engineering process improvement across the UDS Product Group. We are seeking a leader to help UDS achieve ever higher levels of quality and customer satisfaction. The candidate will have a successful track record of driving business or engineering process improvement efforts. The ideal candidate will also understand software development and contemporary quality practices. The Process Improvement Lead will help foster a culture of continual improvement across Engineering functions, strength best practice sharing with Dell stakeholders and ensure that we continue to deliver the best product experience to our customers. Specifically, the Process Improvement Lead will:

  • Lead the development and maintenance of UDS s Product Quality improvement framework
  • Establish goals/ KPIs used for monitoring quality. Drive a business rhythm focused on tracking progress to goals and correcting for errors.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives; particularly around quality.
  • Research best practices from other Dell EMC business units and the industry
  • Manage internal communications

Relevant Functional or Domain Experience

The ideal candidate will have >=8 years experience working in one or more of the following functions/ domains:

  • Management consulting
  • Quality programs management
  • SW product development/ engineering

Desired Capabilities

The ideal candidate will have proven capabilities in as many of the following areas as possible:

  • Leading structured problem solving (e.g., hypothesis development, issue trees, data analysis)
  • Implementing improvement programs
  • Driving program governance and communications
  • Achieving impact and influence without hierarchical authority
  • Managing virtual teams
